(Picture – This was my first day and my first introduction to a local scam)
In January 2011 it was my pleasure to take up a UN Volunteer position with the Ministry of Planning in The Gambia, Africa. The challenge was to assist the Ministry with the development of a National Economic Development Plan which was to be called the Programme for Accelerated Growth and Employment – (The PAGE). It was a year of exploration and discovery.
This is the first of a number of Photo Albums that were shared. In this album you will get a vista of my first impressions from the view from my first temporary apartment, the street it was located on, a festival and glimpses of the many new scenes which I witnessed in those very early days.
